George-Good evening girls, and welcome to your second judging in Kenya as we inch closer and closer to the final! This week you did a photo shoot dressed as water nymphs, we gave you some sexy swim wear and over the top wigs. I must say how impressed I was with your professional nature and modelesque appearance so well done! As for the prizes they remain the same but here they are just for a reminder! The winner of Make Me A Top Model will receive a fashion spread in ‘EL Magazine’ courtesy of the editor in chief Josh Kebano. And representation with Dreamz Model management! They will also win a campaign with Essence cosmetics! Now on to our wonderful judges, noted fashion photographer ‘Michael Grange’ and The owner of Dreamz Model Management, Miss ‘Julie Helson’. So Brenda we shall see your picture first:
Brenda-Yay, I’m confident this week!
Julie-That’s exactly what we want to see
George-I love this picture Brenda, it’s simplistic but really editorial
Michael-I like how you’re leaning on the tree but with your body, it gives a sense of that more relaxed feel
Julie-Your face is stunning and you’ve really improved this week Brenda, well done!
George-Ok Candice is next
Candice-Hey I can’t wait to see my picture!
George-Well let’s see it then!
Michael-...well it’s anything but high fashion in my opinion
Julie-You look stunning just like Brenda but there is no presence, and is that a tan line I see!?
Candice-Yeah I was tanning earlier on in the week
George-That is a big no no Candice, people don’t want to see tan lines in a magazine
Candice-I thought you would just like edit it out?
George-We would but unfortunately we’re not all made of money
George-Ok Lucy
Lucy-Hi
Julie-Your legs are gorgeous in this shot Lucy! But the face is a bit off for me, it’s more like a high end hotel advertisement than a high fashion spread
George-I disagree, you graced that hammock like it was a four poster bed and I loved watching you shoot!
Michael-It’s not my favourite shot of you but I do think it’s worthy of being called “high fashion”
George-Martina, before we start with you I would just like to mention that you asked to do everything in this next picture, I didn’t choreograph it at all
Martina-I really just wanted to do something different
Michael-Oh wow! This is like rock star high fashion, it just all works
Julie-How did you keep your balance!?
Martina-I think the abundance of hair helped
George-I have to admit Martina, when you first asked to stand on the hammock I thought “oh god what are we in for now” but you hunched your back twisted your arms and elongated your neck, it was an amazing photo shoot!
George-Finally It’s Mika’s turn
Mika-Hi!
George-Hey Mika, let’s take a look at your image
Julie-I’ve seen that face before, the “sleepy eyes pouted lip” has been in your photos a lot I’m afraid
Michael-You look more like a tourist than a water nymph
Mika-In my defence I was given a harder swim suit
George-How is that harder? You had an extra piece of cloth compared to the other girls
Mika-Well it just stuck to me a lot that’s all...
Julie-That’s not really a valid excuse
Mika-Fair enough...
*After a long deliberation the judges have decided who is going home!*
George-So the judges have deliberated and decided who is going home, the first name I call is the judges’ favourite picture this week, and that person is....
1.Martina
2.Brenda
3.Lucy
And that means in the bottom two are Candice and Mika both for very different reasons. Candice we just don’t feel you’re consistent enough. One week you take amazing photos with a wide range of poses, the next it falls flat and boring. Whereas Mika you started off being called in the top 3 every week, then we saw your confidence fade and this week was excuse after excuse when in the modelling industry no one cares if the shoes don’t fit or you don’t like your hair short. So who goes through? Click the question mark to find out!
