Week 8

Tule: Welcome, ladies, to your eight panel! It is tonight that we will determine the two of you who will go before the public in determining the winner of Supermodel. You all did a great job, but unfortunately someone will be eliminated by the end of the night.

Let me remind you of the prizes one of you will walk away with.

-A campaign with Covergirl Cosmetics, which will run in eL Magazine.
-A Six-Page Spread and the Cover of eL Magazine
-$1,000 CDF
-$200 CDF Store Credits at Keb's Grafix n More.

Ok, so let's start judging!

eL Magazine Cover: It’s a decent shot, but I don’t think it’s striking enough. It actually looks too catalogue to make it onto the cover of a magazine to be completely honest.
eL Girl Magazine Cover: I think this is better. I see a model in this shot, yet I also find it really relatable and I like that. I think that’s what this magazine is really all about, and you nailed that aspect.

Erin

eL Magazine Cover: Really, really gorgeous, Erin. I love the outfit and the way you are presenting it in this photo! I do wish you experimented more with your facial expression, though, because you’re a bit too “deer in the headlights” for me. But overall, it’s a great shot.
eL Girl Magazine Cover: It’s a very cute shot, but I don’t know if it’s good enough to be on the cover. Maybe in the magazine, but definitely not on the cover. There’s just something way too simple and boring about this photo. I’m also not fond of the outfit because I think it contrasts the rest of the shot. It has such an edgy, rocker look, but your face is so sweet and your pose is really simple. It’s a good shot, but not a great shot.

eL Magazine Cover: Your face photographs so well, Porticia. This is a stunning photo! I love that you experimented with your face, I think the pose works for the cover, it’s a good shot!
eL Girl Magazine Cover: You took the best eL Girl cover this week in my opinion. This is really gorgeous! I mean your face is so calm and relaxed, yet looks so striking and stunning with that gorgeous shade of pink and the icy blonde hair you have. I guess my issue is the fact that you look like a nine year old rather than a teenager. I mean I know the magazine is called “eL Girl”, but it’s directed towards a teenage group. You look like a little girl in her night gown.

Tule: Please leave the room while I look over your photos and your portfolios. When you return, I will determine who will be leaving the competition.

Both of you should be incredibly proud that you have made it to this point of the competition. Both of you have had your moments of strength and your moments of weakness. However, I can only call one name. The girl I call will join Porticia in the Finale…..

Alex you should be proud of making it so far. You started off being at the bottom, and you made it all the way to the Final 3. Thank you for being with us. Good luck with your career.

Tule: Porticia. Erin. You are the two who have survived it all. 6 aspiring models have been cut, and you two are the last ones standing. However, it is crucial that we make one final cut in determining which one of you becomes the Supermodel we’ve been searching for.

Porticia, you’ve been extremely consistent throughout this competition. You have had your off weeks, but it is without a doubt that you have overall kept a great consistency in your portfolio. The question is do you have more than the ability to take a good picture.

Erin, you started off this competition, in my opinion, as one of the weakest links. You looked way too young and way too innocent to be able to handle this competition. However, you have improved so much since your first week, and that is why you are here in the final 2, so close to the top spot. The question is have you improved enough.
