Judging Panel
Week 7

Tule: Week 2 in Paris ladies! Welcome to panel! You had a photoshoot this week, and from those photos we will determine which one of you will be heading home. That will leave 3 of you in the running to become the Supermodel.

Let's review the prizes:
-A campaign with Covergirl Cosmetics, which will run in eL Magazine.
-A Six-Page Spread and the Cover of eL Magazine
-$1,000 CDF
-$200 CDF Store Credits at Keb's Grafix n More.
-The winner will be the new face of KEBANO designs.

So for your photoshoot this week, you guys posed as pieces of artwork in a gallery. We wanted edgy, high fashion couture. Let's see how you did.

Matthew: You look freezing when you put cover your arms over your upper body. But I am a big fan of the dress and the bow, they look very well for the photoshoot! I am lovin' the twisted leg, very creative! I am happy because this is the first time you do not look too young! Good job Alex!

Brandon: An interesting picture you’ve got there…not entirely sure I love the styling. You look like you’re being swallowed up by your hair – it really doesn’t help that you have such a naturally terrified face. Otherwise, though, you’ve taken that frightened element to its extreme with the crossed arms and knees, and I appreciate that self-awareness in you. It’s good – it could be better.

Jack: Don't like pose. It look like you was cold. But others than that! I like it! I think your eyes are gorgeous! I love your hair! You do improving! You getting better and better! Good job Alex!

Tule: Your best shot in this competition. I really like this shot, Alex. I love how it’s so broken down and high fashion, and your face looks amazing. There is something so haunting, yet beautiful, about that stunning face of yours in this shot. I’m really pleased with you this week, Alex. Amazing job! I still feel you need to remember the quality of your photos, but weel done.

Matthew: Wow Wow Wow, you are my fave in the competition! Your eyes look AMAZING! The dress has a very coll 1920's/30's vintage! Your pose looks very high fashion and comfortable! Excellent Job Erin!

Brandon: While I think you could have been a bit more dynamic with this, overall your picture’s pretty good. I love the consciousness you had with the frame, deliberately posing to fill as much of it as possible. Obviously you went all the way with your styling – like I said, it’s pretty good. Not a showstopper, but pretty good.

Jack: Love this photo. Love your makeup. You look gothic in this photo. I love your dress. It was very high fashion. Your pose was fierce! There nothing negative about this photo. Great job Erin!

Tule: Eeek, worst one of the week in my opinion Erin. I just don’t like it. The pose doesn’t strike me as interesting or unique. It just looks flat out stiff. Your face is what turns me off the most. There is absolutely no emotion in your eyes. You look completely blank and your lips look awkward. Really disappointing shot from you unfortunately.

Matthew: You also look freezing when cover your upper body with your arms. But I love the face, there is something that is just stunning about it! Again, the twisted leg is very nice and creative! And this is my favorite dress of the bunch, Great Job Portri!

Brandon: Girl, this is several thousand kinds of fierce. I was never really quite sure what to think of you, but this is fantastic – a dress with that shape could have gone really poorly, but the crossed arms help give it some shape and show the contours of your body. I love all the subtleties you’re giving us, from the styling to the slight smile on your face. It’s a great picture…I’d totally hang it in my living room.

Jack: You look so nervous in this photo. Your emotion do not match this photo. I hate pose. It look like you are cold. There nothing positive about this. You continued disappointed to me. You look uncomfortable in this.

Tule: Porticia this had the potential of being the best of the week, but what in the world is up with your face? You are squinting way too much, honey. I can’t even see your eyes at all! It’s a shame, cause this outfit is so intriguing and your pose is really gorgeous. I love that it has sort of a natural flow, yet it is high fashion at the same time. But I really hate your face.

Cassie

Matthew: Sorry but this is last AND least. It is the worst photo in my opinion, bu it is not bad. I really love the face, definetly thesoftest one in the bunch. The dress you have on is beautiful, but I think it held you back cuz you look very stiff. But it is a very relaxing picture, so you did good Cassie

Brandon: Apart from that slightly jank right arm which could probably be fixed by eating something, I don’t have too much negative to say about this, other than I would have liked for you to give us a more dynamic pose – it’s a nice picture, but when compared to the other girls it seems like you could give us more. I do like that come-hither look you’re giving us, and that dress is stunning on you…you have a good eye for what shapes and colours work well on your body, and I appreciate that.

Jack: Like it. Love eyemakeup. Love dress. But it not your best shot but I like it. Pose are nice. It not feel high fashion but good job Cassie.

Tule: It’s a beautiful shot, but at the same time it’s a really safe shot. I think the outfit looks fabulous and your face looks beautiful, but honestly you really aren’t committing to this shot. You are just standing there with your hand on the frame, and that shoulder looks really, really stiff and uncomfortable. It’s not horrible, but I just wanted more.

Unfortunately someone is going home. Please exit the room while we tally the scores. When you return, I will announce the person who will not be moving on to the next round.

This is personally my least favorite photo of the week, but the others thought it was a strong photo and that is why you are being called first. Impress me next time.

Will Alex and Cassie please step forward?

Alex, you have stand out features and this week you gave a photo that I find extremely intriquing and strong. However, your portfolio is the weakest of the bunch and the judges are unsure whether or not you can catch up.

Cassie, you have been a frontrunner, but lately the judges have been finding you extremely boring. We are seeing a drastic decline in what we used to see from you. Also, we are doubting whether or not you WANT this.

I will only call one name. The other must return to the hotel, pack, and leave.







































We see more dedication from you, and that is why you are staying. Congratulations.

Cassie, unfortunately you are surprisingly leaving us. It sucks to eliminate you, but unfortunately we really don't know if you will be able to put your all into this competition. Thanks for being with us.

Photoshoot
Number Eight and Nine//eL Magazine

Hello, welcome to the Final 3. Now, this is an important round because you will be doing a very important assignment for us. The winner of Supermodel will be in eL Magazine, so we need to see your eL-ability.

Your first shot will be a test cover for the December issue. Unfortunately this will not be a real cover, but it will just show us what you can do. You will be posing in coats and jackets from Burberry on a plain background. It is important that you show us what you can do as a model. Work with the outfit, with your poses, with your face and show us everything you’ve got.

Now, we also want to test your commercial side, so you will also be doing a test cover shot for eL Girl magazine, which is an upcoming magazine similar to a mix of Seventeen and Teen Vogue. We want something fresh and vibrant. You are to take a shot inspired by the Seventeen Magazine covers. Look at them, go about planning your outfits and how you will look based on them, but bring our own style.

Guidelines

1. You are doing TWO shots; 1 for eL and 1 for eL Girl.

2. Send this to me on a SOLID OR TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND. I will edit it.

3. For the eL cover shot, think Burberry when you are selecting the coats and jackets for the shoot. For the eL Girl cover, it is very Seventeen, so we want something vibrant, commercial, yet with a sense of fashion to it.

4. PM your shots. This is due on December 5th
