To be a great fashion designer, it takes more than being about to design clothes. If you ain't got the style, the personality and the determination to design, then you won't make it to the top. Former Supermodel, Fashion critic and EDNTM judge, Jenna Dolcen, will take aspiring fashion designers and challenge them in every way possible until she's got one designer left, the ultimate Modéliste.
Rules: 1. Turn in your assignments ON TIME. If you need an extension, you must request it 12 hr in advance to the due date, and you may only have an extension to a max of 72 hr (3 days). 2. No applying your own models here. We need to see if you can rock your fashions and bring your own flavor and style on any model, so you will be choosing from a list of models each round. 3. You will have a week to complete your designs. 4. The following techniques for designing will be allowed: -Creating an outfit straight from a dollmaker (The final 2 WILL NOT be able to use this technique for the finale, as we want your own personal design, not just something straight from a doll maker. -Combining various outfits from dollmakers in a photo editing program, or editing dollmaker outfits in anyway -Drawing the outfit. 5. Please respect all designers, judges and audience members. Being disrespectful may result in disqualification from the competition, or worst, suspension/getting banned from the boards. 6. Roleplaying is encouraged. 7. Good luck!! Have fun, and don't let this stress you out. This is supposed to be for fun.
Prizes
-CDF $1,000 -Your designs will be walked in the finale runway show of EDNTM S4. -CDF $500 store credits in Keb's Grafix n More -New! The winner will have their designs displayed on the cover of eL Magazine as well as a 5 pg spread. -Please donate any store credits or other prizes!

where can i find the program you make the clothes like alesch 0_0 She draws them using photoshop I draw clothing too sometimes, but I also just combine different parts of different outfits in photoshop, do some recoloring and add some accessories. That's another techinque you can do. Drawing clothes from scratch is harder, because you have to learn where to shade in order to make the clothing realistic looking

Judge Name: Queenie Galia Age:34 Location: Monte Carlo,Monaco (Originally Alexandria,Egypt) Occupation: Fashion Critic Any former judging experience She judged on a old website i had and was the judge everyone thought that was harsh. She has her own opinion and is not afriad to say anything. Provide a sample critique, commenting on the design in the banner. I think the dress looks a bit to tight on the girl. I would go with something more smaller and a bit more modern. Her face is a bit boring she doesen't look enthusiastic [/avatar]

Drawing clothes from scratch is harder, because you have to learn where to shade in order to make the clothing realistic looking I'm the same way as you. I combine and change colors of things all the time. It's so much easier that way. I've drawn things like bandannas and shawls and little stuff like that but that's easy to do. I also don't own Photoshop. I use Paint.NET and Gimp 2. Which do their jobs, definitely.
