Challenge
Number Three//Runway!

It was 7 AM in the morning when the Top 7 girls quickly climbed into their limo that waited in front of their house and were taken to their third challenge of the competition. Many were tired, but as they pulled up to the building and piled in, signs of immediate excitement (or nerves) were shown by the girls.





"Hey ladies. If you don't know me, I'm Katrina Johnson. I was the winner of Elouai Doll's Next Top Model Cycle 3 and currently, I'm not only working as a model, but I am also the creative director of the show. I've also been doing some work with runway, both being in the actual show and planning the show.

So, today is all about the catwalk. If you cannot work a catwalk, you cannot be a supermodel. It is that simple. Photographs only make up part of the modeling industry. So what are we having today? We are having a fashion show, and you guys are the models. However, you guys will also be the designers in the sense that you will be planning your own outfit and you will be styling your hair and make up. Therefore this is also a styling challenge, not just one to see your walk.

This challenge is also a bit like a casting, because the prize for this challenge is an actual job. The winner will be strutting the catwalk in the Rags to Riches by Sally Bakura Fashion Show, the fashion show that the finalists of EDNTM 4 will also be walking in. I'm sure that will really motivate you guys to work it out, ehh?

Guidelines
1. You have a lot of freedom with your styling. You will be planning your entire outfit for the fashion show. You may also change your hair in terms of length and style, as long as the color stays the same.
2. Your background will be the runway image posted above. Edit everything onto the background.
3. This photo is an image of you posing at the end of the catwalk, not walking.
4. Send this to me by this Friday. If you need an extension, please ask for it.

Katrina: That was a great show, ladies! You guys did a great job! Now I will give you my critiques on how you did pose-wise and outfit-wise.

Cassie Cassie, I’ve got to say I love your design. I love all the colors and the spunk it has! By going for a more swimsuit/lingerie look, it really makes your design stand out of the crowd. Very good job. I also think you looked great on the runway and your pose is absolutely gorgeous.

Bianca Well, firstly, about the blue area. It’s very distracting. You should’ve cropped it out. The picture is also in low quality, but I guess that is an issue with your program. I suggest downloading GIMP if you want a more efficient program that is also free. I think the outfit is ok, but I really don’t like that…yawn bag thing that’s in front of your waist. It’s not exactly very pretty. I like the attempt you put on this pose, but you obviously need more work. It is impossible for a human to bend their leg like that and your arm is just left hanging in the middle of nowhere. I like that you made an effort, however.

Erin This outfit is very simple and I do see the summer appeal that you did say you were going for. I like the sunglasses. They add a nice touch to the outfit. I’m just not very fond of those shoes. It just doesn’t fit in with the outfit. Now, the pose, well, you made a nice effort. You look really short though. I think you cut off too much leg, because I know you are taller than that.

Althea This outfit reminds me of one of those dudes wearing nothing but a barrel for some reason. I guess it is because the skirt is way too high. Now I’ve seen something like this in one of those haute couture fashion shows, but it just doesn’t look good like this, and it just isn’t a marketable outfit. I don’t really like the outfit, I’m afraid. I think the pose is nice and simple for a catwalk, so good job on that.

Alex This is a gorgeous outfit. It looks very…expensive! This outfit makes you look like such a rich girl. Maybe I'd loose that shawl thing you are wearing just so you don't seem so covered up and more free. Now about the pose. I will say you posed a little bit awkwardly. You are twisted in an odd way. But overall, I think you did a pretty good job on the runway.

Naikimoto This outfit is so gorgeous! I just love the shade of orange you selected. Now the pose, you still need work on proportions. I am staring at your right leg, thinking how much longer it is compared to your other leg! But that is my only issue on the pose. I think you overall did a good job.

Porticia Porticia, you look amazing. This coat that you selected was a really great choice for me. It is very neat and expensive looking, but I the pink color really adds a lot of "pop" to it. I absolutely love the color. It goes so well with your hair and your eyes. You looked like a model on that catwalk. The shadow might be a little too big, but you look fabulous on that catwalk.
